Christmas Gifts

Gifts for Children in Care

Due to the success of last years outreach we have decided to run this outreach again for 2011. Your help last year brought joy to so many children.

As part of our church social responsibility, the community team wanted to deliver Christmas presents to Barnet Social Services children in care.

We asked people to please take a tag and buy a small gift (minimum of £3 - £5) for a child.
We received a good number of gifts and many people found this to be a perfect way to get their own children involved in showing the love of Christ as they picked a tag and helped chose a gift together.
It’s not the size of the gift that matters, but that it will show love and that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Many gifts began to appear under the tree in the foyer and on Wednesday 22nd December the gifts were gathered up and taken to Barnet Children's Service who expressed their thanks and joy and being able to distribute the gifts to the children who are in care.

Low and behold as we arrived at Jesus House the following day we were astounded to see the tree in the foyer surrounded by many more gifts. Overjoyed we made a second trip to Barnet Children's Service with a second load of gifts.
We would just like to say thank you to all those who contributed to this outreach, your gifts really helped to spread the Love of Jesus to many children across Barnet.
