Job Offer

I would like you to help me praise the God of host, the I am that I am, God my provider, who is forever great in mercies and glorious in holiness. I would like to thank God for providing me with a Job and for embarrassing and blessing me during this 21 days fasting.

I have currently been unemployed since February and I have been praying to God for a job, I have had lots of interviews of which I was unsuccessful. One of those interview was with a large well known organisation, I had passed the previous application process and was successful to proceed to the assessment centre(which was the final stage) this was around May, before the interview I prayed and told God that whatever happens I would continue to serve him faithfully. After the interview, I was told I was unsuccessful in the interview process.

I was devastated as the job met my criteria and I really wanted the job. So, I took my worries and prayers to God and decided that his will should be done and I closed that chapter and decided to focus on him and continue with my job hunt, I also decided to dedicate and commit myself to this 21 days fasting with the faith that God will answer my prayers and draw me closer to him.

On the 7th of June after Pastor George Adeboye spoke, I prayed the next day in the morning and I heard God telling me among other things that he has already answered my prayers concerning the job and I should tarry/wait on him as all would be made manifest soon. I was hopeful after hearing the word and held on to the word. That evening which was the 8th after Pastor George spoke on hearing from God, during the prayer, I felt strong that God was saying again not to pray on the job that he has already been done. I thanked God and praise his name, as this again was good news as my faith was further increased.I have been thanking God and holding on to this word in faith since that day still pondering how he was going to surprise me.

On the 11th of June after I got home after a job fair, I received a call from the firm telling me that if I was currently available for work and I said yes, so they said they would get back to me that nothing was certain. I went to church that day to thank God, still having faith on his word and prayed that if it is was his will he should turn their hearts and I left everything in his hands.

Yesterday, 18th in the morning, I got a called from the firm telling me that I got the job and I am to start next month and God so blessed me when I heard the offer that I could not help but recognise that this is God and I praised and worshipped him, I came to church that day with a heart of thanksgiving.

I just want to share this testimony to encourage others to be strong in the Lord as he is faithful, also one lesson I learnt is the word of God is true and there is nothing impossible for God, and if we seek the kingdom all other things will surely be added to us.

I also want to give him all the glory. May his name be forever praised and may God be continually lifted up in the heavens and in the earth. I am eternally grateful for his undeserved mercies, grace and blessing.

I would also like to thank all the pastors and guest speakers as they have blessed me tremendously during this period, may God continually bless and make he be your strength and shield.
