The Micah Challenge - Faith demands action
“Love and business and family and religion and art and patriotism are nothing but shadows of words when a man's starving.  'O. Henry, Heart of the West, 1907”
The above quote summarises the vision of the Micah movement, a coming together of people, (Christian leaders, institutions and charity organisations) all over the world, who have taken up the challenge laid down by the Old Testament prophet Micah, to speak out against the injustice of global poverty. The prophet declared God's anger with social sin – the constantly present economic, legal and social corruption that plagued the country during his time.

Micah challenge has collectively written a reminder letter to world leaders about their signed promises of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), to “free men, women and children from the conditions of extreme poverty,” by 2015 Jesus House for all nations was one of the five global signature churches, who hosted the 10.10.10 signature event, services were based on the 10.10.10 theme; Prayer, promise and justice.

Rev. Joel Edwards preached from the book of Micah, calling all Christians to act justly, to love mercy, remove oppression wherever it is found and to live holy. The Tribe of Judah sang a special number, “lean on me “by gospel singer, Kirk Franklin. The children and the youth also participated; they presented a graffiti banner a video that recorded their promises to remember the poor respectively.
