Minimum to Maximum
Submitted by Clare.Elevique on Thu, 28/06/2012 - 3:37pm
I just want to encourage someone and the whole church, in the amazing grace
that God has shown on my family and me. I work for a big organisation, and
early this year our new director said she would like to re-structure the
whole organisation, which meant people might lose their jobs; people will be
demoted, there will be redundancies, etc.
The re-structure started with all the senior management, which some were laid-off and demoted including my own line manager. As you can imagine there were a lot of fear and uncertainties going around the organisation.
My department had our consultations and one to one, which began on the 11th - 26th of June - which is the period of pursuit of God. The first day of POG I remember when Rev Olaiya told us to focus on our life, my prayer point was particularly on my job, that God should move me from the minimum to the maximum.
During the POG week, my organisation advertised all the vacancies of our roles, and they told us that anyone of us could re-apply for any roles of our choices including our previous roles, but we will still have to undergo another interview because it's advertised, and they were expecting more candidates.
My role was one of the key roles advertised; it broadens a bit more with more responsibility being the face of the organisation for my branch and so on. I was told specifically to re-apply for my position if I still want to work for the organisation but will undergo another interview with any applicants who apply for the roles.
To cut the long story short, the next day-after POG finished, 5 minutes after getting into work, I got a phone call from our head office saying, “Congratulations you have been assimilated into your role."
My colleagues congratulated me, including my ex-line manager, which lost his role. They all just kept wondering why the organisation assimilated only me into my roles out of the whole staff. Not only that, but also move my role from being the face for local branch of my organisation to be the face for the whole branches of my organisation, and my move to the head office. Surely, this is the hand of God “from minimum to maximum," and his maximum never ends.
I give God all the glory. Just to encourage someone that we serve the God of miracles, this is my big miracle during POG period, be expectant, prayer with diligent really works. God Bless.
