Paying Tithe Miracle

I knew about tithe but didn’t really take it seriously. However, after Rev. Joe Olaiya’s teaching during one of his visits to church on why paying of tithe is very important, the spiritual and material benefits one gets from being obedient to God’s word by paying tithe, I felt I have been cheating God and delaying my breakthrough.

After Rev. Olaiya's sermon, he made an altar call for whoever wants to stop cheating God regarding tithe, I quickly came out by faith, although something within me was saying to me - 'how much do you earn that you want to pay tithe, God understands'. I was determined though. I received the anointing because all I needed was just to obey God's voice and God would take care of everything. After the service that day, I was worried with fear of how to cope. Although I was working 11 hours everyday, the pay was just too small with a lot of stress and rules to abide with.

The first month I tried to pay my tithe but It wasn’t possible. I was really sad about it because by the time I finished settling my bills I had nothing left. The following month I was determined to experience God’s word regarding tithe according to Malachi 3:10. I decided to draw up my budget and my priority was my tithe. It was difficult during this period but God’s grace saw me through.

A few months later I received a call from my former place of work where all the staff were made redundant except the managerial staff. My supervisor called and said he wants to help me get back to my old job. I thought he was joking because he had earlier promised to help without fulfilling it. I said to God, you are my helper. I am tired of waking up at 5am and getting home at 12 midnight.

On the 29th of April, I called my supervisor; he gave me an address and told me I should go there to register my details. That was on a Thursday and I was told to start work on Monday 3rd May. A '7 hour per day job, more pay than 11 hours per day, more time to sleep, more favour without stress, a good job with nice and friendly people to the glory of God through my tithe.

I pray that God grant me the grace to always be obedient to his voice in Jesus name. Amen.
