Put Your Trust In God

About 8 years ago, I made a discovery about someone whom I trusted; it was a harsh betrayal of trust. I was deeply hurt and made a decision to deal with this person and the related situation in my own way. Although the actions I took appeared justified; I made one fundamental mistake, I did not seek God or his word in the matter.

Things went from bad to worse for me and I literally lost everything; my job, house and my family settings as I knew it. I lost confidence in myself and became very reclusive.

I battled with God over those years wondering why he would not help me. When I hit rock bottom, a friend spoke to one of the Pastors on my behalf; she guided and provided me with selfless and heartfelt support. I heeded to the guidance provided by the Pastor and took the first step toward forgiving the offence against me. I also acknowledged my ill-conceived actions and begged God for his mercy.

Some time after that, a job which I had taken on two years earlier, which paid nothing close to what I previously earned, took a turn for the worse. I was told to downgrade roles or leave.

I decided to put my trust in God and left. I also gave my tithe for the first time in years. Not knowing what the future held, I waited on God and threw myself into developing any skills I believed could make a difference.
3 months later, I was offered 3 jobs with some of UK's top Companies, I had to fend off the Recruitment Agencies as they called constantly trying to persuade me not to go with the other Companies. I was baffled as I had applied for the same jobs for years with the same knowledge, skills and even with a similar resume without any luck. My current Employer had even told me that I lacked the skills required for the roles I was after.

Apart from blessing me materially, God has truly elevated me spiritually, I have made my first attempt at going through the Bible in one year and I am now going through Bible for a second time. There is also a supernatural peace within that I can’t explain. It is mind blowing.

Strangely, there’s nothing new in this story, put your trust in God, live right and seek him diligently; and he shall do wonders beyond your expectation. Unfortunately we hear this so often without enough testimonies that sometimes the real message in lost. That is the reason I decided to give this testimony.

I hope it blesses someone and causes their situation to change for the better.
