Searching For A Job

in

For the past year and a half, I have been searching for a job and believing that Good will provide It. Many times I have felt like returning to Nigeria and conventional wisdom dictated that I should. About April of this year my dad called me and the conversation was basically about what It was I thought I wanted to do with my life. This caused me to wonder maybe I was believing God or just reluctant to go home to work.

At the time I was doing part time work but each year between June and October there would be little or no work. I made a decision that come June If I had no job, I would return home. I reasoned that God would not want me to hang about for months being Idle. The next day I got a call for a job Interview In the particular area that I studied. I was excited but after I went for the test I wasn’t called back for an Interview. Feeling disillusioned, I thought to myself that surely It could not have been God that asked me to stay for the past year and a half job hunting.

The next week I saw a job advertised on a jobsite. My laptop had a fault so I took a bus to my aunt’s house where I sent my CV and covering letter from. Whilst I was still sat there I got a call Inviting me for a test that same week.

I did a test and Interview and to the glory of God, I got the job . I started In the last week of May, a week to the deadline I had given myself. Of all the literally thousands of Jobs I had applied for, It has the best remuneration.

Even when the devil sought to scatter everything due to my references which I had to get from all over the place, God was still faithful. What really touched me was the reaction of all those who knew I was job hunting. The outpouring of love and appreciation really touched me.
