Pastor Agu Irukwu Sabbatical

Senior Pastor Agu Irukwu goes on Sabbatical:
After preaching a series of life transforming messages on ‘Birthing the New’, Pastor Agu thought it best to engage with the Lord in a more practical fashion when he announced in Church on 15th of August 2010 that he would be taking a break.
Yes, he took sabbatical leave, taking time off from all administrative and pastoral duties for a life changing encounter. It was time for a well deserved retreat. Well, not the sort you go sky diving, skiing in the Alps or mountain climbing with a buddy or two. It was a very personal and necessary spiritual retreat.
The twelve week sabbatical which began from 22nd August until 14th November 2010 saw most of Pastor Agu’s speaking engagements cancelled and appointments rescheduled. It was an imperative decision taken by the Senior Pastor’s office as his motive was to seek God’s face for direction in claiming new frontiers by the Church in coming years.
Pastor Agu’s sabbatical was greeted with the birth of baby Sochi Ademola Irukwu born 11th October 2010, just six weeks into his leave. An elated father of three was most grateful and saw the latest addition to his family as a sign from God in ‘Birthing the New’. Since his return to office, there have been physical, spiritual and pragmatic changes to the senior pastor who is described as leading with a direction for the ‘New’.
