Test of Faith

At the start of the pursuit of God in June, Pastor Agu encouraged us all to sow a very important seed which he layed upon and prayed over.

One thing he said was that every seed that was sown during the period of waiting will bring an harvest. I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to sow and I sowed a seed even though I was struggling financially but to be honest, I wasn't really expecting a return especially in monetary terms.

The days passed and again, my faith was challenged as I felt God prompting me to pay a deposit for something that represented what I'd been believing Him for. Even at this time, I didn't have the money but managed to squeeze it out somewhere. Also, prior to the fast I embarked on a major project that required me make a lump sum of money as deposit. Even though I knew God wanted me to start this project, I was worried about how I would manage it financially especially once I commit to it by putting money towards it.

All sort of 'what if' questions crossed my mind but I felt God telling me to stretch my faith and trust Him to provide as He always pays for what He orders. Anyway, I did it, I paid the money after so much hesitation. During the fast I prayed specifically for provision of the next installments for these two things because I couldn't really see where the money would come from and I feared loosing the money I had already paid and failure.

Just before the end of the fast, I got home from the service and saw a letter from the inland revenue telling me to expect a cheque of over a thousand pounds which was more than what I needed. The next days got home and there it was! God had miraculously provided for me from a source I least expected and not only did He provide, it was right on time and more than enough!

Thank you Father for aways looking out for me and providing for all my needs.
For teaching me to increase my faith. You are the all sufficient God, my Jehovah Jireh!
