Trust in God

A while ago I sat for this particular exam which I found very difficult and challenging. A few months later the results came out and I found out that I hadn't passed it and would have to take a re-sit of that module.

I was completely crushed because I studied endlessly night and day in preparation for the said exam but I thought since I was given another opportunity to take the exam again without having to take the whole year that it wouldn't be a bad idea so I studied and I prayed really hard for God's guidance and direction.

On the day of the exam, I was so extremely nervous, I thought I was going to pass out. As I sat in the examination hall waiting for the exam invigilator to prompt us to begin with the paper, I said a prayer as I always do right before an exam for God's grace to be able to read and understand the questions I was about to answer and I also made a promise to God that I would give a testimony if I passed the exam. As I opened the question paper, I began to read the questions only to realise that they were infact more difficult than the ones I had previously failed - my heart sank but I immediately believed that no matter what, I was not going to fail this exam again because I had God on my side.

So I began to answer the questions without even realising what I was writing. At the end of the paper, I thanked God for success and I committed everything into his hands including the lecturer who is well known to be very strict in terms of awarding grades. A couple of months after, I received my results and discovered that I had passed the exam, I was so elated not only because I passed but because I trusted in God and he didn't disappoint and I also believed that the Holy Spirit guided me as I sat for that paper as I was more confident in what I had done when I sat the exam the first time than I was the second time. This only shows that we should always trust in God no matter the situation we find ourselves and not lean on our own understanding to get us through challenging times.
