Must I be saved to get baptized?

This is an emphatic YES and is similar to the question the Eunuch asked Philip who told him about our savior’s birth, death, resurrection and ascension to heaven, His full redemptive work for man, See the accounts in Acts 8:35-37

Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this portion of Scripture he announced to him the glad tidings (Gospel) of Jesus and about Him.

36 And as they continued along on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch exclaimed, See, [here is] water! What is to hinder my being baptized?

37 [k]And Philip said, If you believe with all your heart [if you have [l]a conviction, full of joyful trust, that Jesus is the Messiah and accept Him as the Author of your salvation in the kingdom of God, giving Him your obedience, then] you may. And he replied, I do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

So if you are fully convinced and believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and accept Him as your Lord and personal saviour, then YES you are qualified for water baptism

If you haven’t yet and you want to make a heartfelt commitment to Christ, you don’t have to wait and can say the prayer below now

Lord Jesus, I accept that I have sinned against You and I am sorry for all my sins. I believe You died for me on the Cross to take away my sins. I repent of my sins; please forgive me. I believe that through You, I can have a new life in God. By faith, I accept you into my heart as my Lord and my Saviour. I accept this new life in You. Thank you for accepting me as Your child. Amen

Welcome to the family of God! You are now part of the Body of Christ. Congratulations!

We look forward to meeting with you at our Level 1 Foundation Class after which the water baptism would be held.

At these classes, you will be taught and made to understand better the full redemptive work of Christ and if you have not already given your life to Christ, there will be plenty opportunities to do so.
